Insurance/Storm Damage

Yes, as a general contractor we can handle everything on your insurance claim and we have staff who are experienced in working with adjusters throughout the process

With an insurance claim, you will pay your first ACV insurance check + deductible once we start the project. We will work with the insurance company to get the money released as we complete the work. You will pay us as you receive those additional insurance payments and when you are happy with the installation.

1) You can either start the mortgage endorsement process yourself and reach out to your mortgage company to do that or 2) You can have our team do it for you.

Roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and painting

Yes! We always recommend that you have a professional contractor meet with your insurance adjuster on-site to represent you in the repairs process.

Absolutely! We are a licensed General Contractor in many counties across Colorado and can complete almost any exterior projects you have except landscaping.

You will have an assigned Project Manager responsible for overseeing all active construction and a Production Manager overseeing the performance of your entire install.

We will work with your insurance adjuster on the initial appointment to come to an agreement with repairs. In some cases, the insurance adjuster does not agree on the scope of repairs. If these cases, we will document the damages and submit them to the corporate office. We will work with the insurance company to schedule a re-inspection with another adjuster if necessary.

Storm damage impacts properties and materials differently. Schedule an appointment with our experienced staff to determine whether you need to file a claim or not.

We will email you an invoice that allows you to pay via ACH or you can check. You can talk to you Production Manager during the initial review to discuss those details.

1) Your claims history. Have you needed to file a lot of claims in the past? If so, the insurance company may be on verge of dropping your coverage.

2) The severity of the damage. Did the storm cause significant damage or minimal? If minimal damage and you have filed a lot of previous claims, it may be better to wait until the next storm to file.

3) Your deductible. Does the claim exceed the amount of your deductible? More insurance policies are coming with higher deductibles. Make sure you talk to a contractor to get a ballpark price for the repairs before filing a claim.

4) Are you staying or selling your home in the short term. If you are selling your house within the next 5-years but want to hold off on filing a claim, make sure you talk to a contractor to understand how the damage will age and get worse over the coming years. When you go to sell your house, a qualified home inspector will find the damage and you may be on the hook out of your own pocket.

5) How much time has passed since the storm. In Colorado, you will have 1-2 years (depending on the insurance company) to file a claim from the date of loss (the date of the storm). You will need to file a claim within these time limits for insurance to cover the damage.

Denver Metro, Boulder, Loveland, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas. See Service Areas page for more.

Since we’ve been in business we have always maintained an A+ rating with the BBB.

No, not a storm damage claim. Being that storm damage is defined as an “Act of God” insurance companies cannot raise their rates on an individual policyholder basis. This means that if you file a claim for wind or hail damage after a storm you won’t have higher rates because of it. This comes with a caveat though – usually, after a storm-related event, depending on the severity and insurance company, that every policyholder within those zip codes will get a blanket increase.

Call your local agent to start the process or call the claims hotline. We recommend having a professional contractor assess the damage before filing a claim.

This varies throughout the year and by the insurance company but the claims process can take anywhere from 2-6+ weeks. The repairs process can take equally as long if not longer based on the scope of repairs.

The customer is responsible for the deductible. Just like paying a co-pay at the doctor’s office, you will pay the contractor your deductible amount. If you have a $10,000 claim and your deducible is $1,000 the insurance company is going to pay your contractor $9,000 and you will pay them the additional $1,000.

Yes! We work with many of the top insurance companies and provide cheap upgrades to impact-resistant shingles. Depending on your insurance company, you can save anywhere from 15-30% off your annual premiums going with a Class 4 shingle. Not to mention you’ll lower your chances of needing to replace the roof anytime soon.

Once we have the insurance scope finalized we will submit your project to our production office. You will hear from them within 1-3 days to start the repairs process. Depending on material availability and other scheduling factors, it can take anywhere from 2-4+ weeks to schedule your project.

Residential – Windows and Doors Questions

A full-frame install typically requires that you replace the entire window unit, new interior and new exterior trim. In some cases it requires interior, or exterior trim only, but not both. This type of install does not enhance the installation itself, it is purely a personal aesthetic choice.

There are no code requirements on obscured or privacy glass, this is a personal choice.

There is no one way to measure windows, it solely depends on what kind of existing windows you have and how they were installed. It is best to leave it to the professionals.

The thickness of your window has nothing to do with its performance, frame construction and glass selection are the most important items to consider.

Consult your window expert on which window(s) has the best U-Value and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient numbers available.

A nail fin install is typically used in new construction applications, although there are conditions in a remove and replace installation where it works perfectly. Those conditions would be where the siding or exterior trim is being replaced.

The window warranty is offered through the manufacturer itself. Endeavor offers a limited lifetime workmanship (labor) warranty on the installation of your product.

This application is where a window is secured into an existing opening without replacing any of the interior and exterior trim. In most cases the existing window frame is not as thick as the new window frame, and in those cases it will require that the drywall and/or the wood sill will need to be cut back.

Yes. All of the installers are required to carry insurance in order to subcontract with Endeavor Exteriors

This will depend on a couple of factors. If the sills and aprons are in need of change due to any sort of damage, UV, water or similar issues then replace them. Nothing worse than getting beautiful new windows only to have unsightly old trim. The second reason would be that new windows aren't the same thickness as the existing window and the sill would have to be replaced.

Because windows are installed in many different ways, there isn't one answer to this question. The most common way is to cut between the exterior trim and the window, separating the window from its installation nail fin. It is also very important to cut the caulking on the interior window frame and drywall to prevent any drywall damage during removal.

A Project Manager is assigned to every window and door project.

Stucco is extremely fragile and requires a seasoned installer in order to limit the damage during the removal stage. In most cases the damage is very minor and can be touched or even covered by the new exterior caulking. The installation process is exactly the same as any other condition.

A 50% deposit will be required when the contract is signed. The balance is due once that you are satisfied with the completion of your project.

It is not uncommon that the exterior has suffered water damage over its lifetime and will need to be replaced. Outside of damage to the trim, it would simply be a choice of updating the look of your product.

The best material is the product that works under all criteria, home design, frame color needs and budget will dictate the best material. If you are looking for the lowest cost (and quality) material, aluminum is your game. Vinyl is durable, and a very popular cost-effective option while fiberglass is the highest quality available with equally stellar benefits.

Both of these glass options offer a viable product depending on your end goals. This is the perfect discussion to have with a window sales person to ensure that your specific needs are met.

There is a wide range of cost due to the fact that there are some many different window options available. An average starting cost would be around $1200.00 per window.

Over the years we have installed many different manufacturers products, but over the past couple of years we have had our best success using the Pella and Milgard products.

A window with a 95% UV protection rating is the target number.

When required by the Landmark Commission. it should be noted that this will require a certain amount of effort from the homeowner.

Absolutely, as long as the dimensions are the same. That isn't to say that if you want to make a window or door larger or smaller, it can't be done, it just changes the scope of the project.

Only where your city or county building code(s) require tempered glass.

Several window materials are 12 weeks out to receive materials. Updates or material delays by manufacturer are posted on our Facebook page in real-time.

When looking for a reliable window company, there are a few things to take note of. First, check to make sure that they are a BBB accredited business, preferably with an A+ rating. This lets you know that the windows are high-quality, the workmanship is sound, and the prices are honest. You can also learn about the products that the company uses, and check for customer reviews.

For example, Endeavor Exteriors is both BBB accredited and A+ rated, and we proudly install windows by ProVia, a leading manufacturer. This ensures that your windows are long-lasting, warranty protected, and competitively priced.

Residential – Siding Questions

We install all siding materials including vinyl, fiber-cement, stucco, and metal.

This varies from house to house. If we are installing vinyl siding and you have an old lap siding where it’s likely you only have insulation board underneath the old siding, then it is probably going to be the less expensive route to install the new vinyl over the existing siding. We can’t do that method with James Hardie or LP since they are heavier products and need a solid substrate to install into. Talk to your Endeavor rep when on-site if you feel like this is a concern.

We work primarily with James Hardie, LP, Edco, Plygem and Norandex

If we tear off your existing siding and find insulation board is existing without any solid substrate like OSB or Plywood, then yes, we will need to install new OSB.

Siding project costs vary by the type of material being used and how much. They can range from $6/sqft up to $30/sqft+. Read more here for average siding costs by material.

Wood is a commodity and fluctuates throughout the year. At the time of this writing, we saw wood prices soar after Covid and again when trade slowed between Canada and the US due to the trucking restrictions. Typically, new OSB can be range between 20-40% additional to the project.

Yes. If you suspect you have storm damage, we will work directly with your insurance company and adjuster on your claim. Learn more about our insurance claims process here.

Yes, we have to replace the window and door trims with the new siding. This will be included in your quote.

Depending on your goals for the project, we would recommend replacing your soffit and fascia. It will be an additional expense but having a professional do everything at once reduces the risk of things being installed incorrectly with other systems. The soffit and fascia are important parts of the entire siding system and it would be best if it is within your budget for the project.

Yes! We partner with Hover to provide customers with a 3D rendering of their home. This allows you to switch between different products and colors before making a decision. We also provide advanced design services with HD quality renderings for serious designers. This is an additional design fee and you can learn more here

A standard siding installation takes anywhere from 4-10 days.

Yes, if you are planning on replacing your windows. The preferred sequence is to install the windows before the siding so we can install new windows with nail fins and replace the existing trim when we install the siding. This allows us to install the windows like a new construction project instead of having to retrofit them into the existing opening.

The most common things that go wrong are 1) Poor installation leading to problems immediately or down the road, 2) Mistakes in the ordering process that leads to delays, 3) No on-site supervision by the contractor that leads to installation or design errors.

The most common things that go wrong are 1) Poor installation leading to problems immediately or down the road, 2) Mistakes in the ordering process that leads to delays, 3) No on-site supervision by the contractor that leads to installation or design errors.

Lead times on products change throughout the year based on the manufacturer's supply and demand. As of this writing, we are coming out of Covid and the supply chain issues of 2021. We are seeing anywhere from 4-12+ weeks for lead times.

You will hear something different from every source. Here’s why: different climates impact material longevity and siding durability differently. We’ve outlined specific materials and how long you can expect them to last when properly installed and maintained.

Yes, we require all of our siding installers to carry their own General Liability and Workers Comp insurance as an extra safety measure.

Endeavor provides an industry-leading 10-year labor warranty that covers workmanship. Each manufacturer has a different materials warranty depending on what is installed. Like with most things, the better the product, the better the warranty.

Yes, you will have an assigned Project Manager who is responsible for overseeing the installation along with a Production Manager who will be overseeing the higher level performance of your project.

Design! This is hands down the best way to capture ROI. Choose materials that will last and be low maintenance. Look around at different styles online and in your neighborhood. If your budget allows, go a little high-end on the design with accent siding and upgraded features.

This depends on your goals for the project. Popular options include stucco, vinyl, fiber-cement, and metal siding. To help understand what’s best for you and your goals, read more.

Yes, we always replace the house-wrap.

You might be wondering when it’s time to hire a local siding company for replacement siding. If you’ve noticed that it is increasingly difficult to maintain necessary siding repairs, then new siding is a worthwhile investment. This includes large sections of missing siding, water damage and rot, or an outdated appearance that can’t be fixed with new paint. If you’re ready for a new exterior, then our siding installation team will provide you with stunning results that protect your home for years to come.

Replacing your home’s siding is a significant investment, so you want to be sure that you’re working with a trustworthy siding company. Check for accreditation and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This means the company has a proven reputation for quality service and honest pricing. You can also read customer reviews, ask for examples of past work, and get information about the products that the siding company uses.

At Endeavor Exteriors, we are an A+ rated and BBB accredited business. Feel free to stop by our online project gallery to see what we can do for you!

We have been installing roofs in Colorado since 2012 and have installed thousands of roofs up and down the front range.

All roofs will need to be replaced eventually, and how long a roof lasts depends on the climate and the type of roof. Generally, composite shingles last up to 20 years, asphalt shingles up to 30, wood shingles for 25 years, and metal roofs for 50 to 75 years. If your roof is decades old or has undergone significant damage from storms or years of weathering, then we will gladly provide you with a quality roof that lasts for decades.

Most roofers prefer to handle a roof replacement during the fall due to moderate temperatures and lower chances of precipitation. This is the busiest season for roofing companies, so it’s a good idea to have your roof replacement scheduled in advance. If for some reason you cannot have your roof replaced during the fall, then your roofer might schedule your home in the summer, spring, or winter depending on the local climate and the roofer’s preferences.
